Halloween // Ancient Greek character costume ideas?

My friend and I like to joke around and pretend we're the reincarnates of ancient Greek characters named Danielius and Parkermedes (our names are Daniel and Parker), and I had an idea that for my friend's Halloween party, we should go dressed up like these characters. I'm not very good at making ideas come to life, though, so I could use some advice on how to put together the costumes. I have a general idea but I'm not sure what to include specifically, as well as accessories and such.

Danielius, the Warrior, is an intelligent and accomplished soldier. Probably got a decent amount of scars. He's also a practical philosopher and seeks to understand human emotion as it could further his accomplishments in battle. Not sure what accessory to include for him.

Parkermedes, the Scholar, is a student, obsessed with the pursuit of knowledge, particularly in the fields of math, engineering, and physics. He also enjoys philosophy, but more so just for the educational aspect. For an accessory, I was thinking of Euclid's "Elements" or a similar academia book of that time period.
