Halloween // Pinhead advice

So I'm thinking about doing pinhead, I'm a big scary costume lover. Last year I did pyramid head (pretty hard to top) so I thought of pinhead. I was planning to make the pins as light as possible by using sticks like plastic lollipop ones or from cotton swabs

Now I know the nails from his head is gonna be the biggest challenge and I've rarely worked with adhesives on skin

I wondered if anyone here knows/has done the makeup before on how to make the pins stick to your face for as long as possible?
