Halloween // Brown Tabby Cat how-to?

My 3 year old wants to be a cat for Halloween this year. Specifically, she wants to be our brown tabby cat who she probably loves more than me. I am an intermediate garment sewist and knitter, so I don't mind a little bit of work putting something together, but I'm a little stumped. Is there a Cats the musical style leotard I could use as a base? Seeking suggestions. Including photo of said brown tabby.
