I have built up 20+ years of Halloween tradition by always having a family theme. I don't impose the theme, but every year one somehow emerges with willingness and agreement between all parties. Sometimes we're all characters in the same movie, and sometimes we're all in a category like circus, candy, or board games.
Except for this year.
Youngest daughter is dying to be Glinda, and her teen brothers can't imagine themselves being anything Glinda-adjacent. They almost can't imagine dressing up at all, but one said he'd be happy if I made him a Spiderman costume, and the other said he would be Batman.
Is there anything that can tie these 3 things together?? My husband and I can be other characters that bridge the gap. (Adult children are doing their own things this year).
Please help!
