Halloween // Ideas for my 3 daughters, 10, 9, 6

I’ve made the “mistake” of getting better with my daughter’s costumes every year and now there is a lot of pressure to win our community’s Halloween contest for the 4th year in a row.

We have already done the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus, Spiderman and various superheroes, Harry Potter, Coraline, The Addams Family, Alice in Wonderland, The Wizard of Oz. I generally like to put their costumes together myself even though I don’t really know how to sew and have enough makeup skills to get by.

Our most recent theme was “Johnny Depp” where they were all different Johnny Depp characters from different movies and it was a huge hit.

Thoughts for this year:

  1. Girls from Horror- this is the front runner as my husband is a huge horror fan and the older girls are starting to get into it. Also I like that the costumes can be individual AND a group like last year’s Johnny Depps. But who to do? I’m thinking Carrie, Regan from The Exorcist…and who? The Ring? How can I construct a mobile tv for her to be climbing out of?

  2. The Golden Girls (I guess I’d have to be one as well…but how to make this not just look like regular old ladies?

  3. Powerpuff Girls- they do enjoy this show but I don’t have any ideas to make this stand out. They won’t wear masks.

  4. An idea that one of you come up with???
