Halloween // Can my son be Micheal Jackson?

So I 26(f) am like 25% Mexican the rest Caucasian and my husband is 100% Mexican. Together we made an awesome 7yearold who has recently learned about Micheal Jackson and is now very much fixated on The King of Pop. Precious Son has already looked up costumes and wants to be MJ for Halloween, he is practicing dance moves and has been watching his music videos and YouTube clips of him doing cameos in movies.

Now to the question- is this appropriate? I feel like I’m in a weird grey area bc in no way shape or form do I want to offend people or spit on Micheal Jackson’s memory, and I know my son is coming from the purest form of innocence and he is genuinely in awe of this great idol. I just don’t want to potentially put him in harms way by indulging him in this. Will rational people see this in the street and see a child in a costume of someone they look up to? Or will they see something that makes them upset?
