Halloween // Ideas pls!

So I usually try to come up with some sort of cool exciting idea for Halloween and end up going as some variation of the grim reaper like every year somehow. It’s been this way since I was a kid: Please help me figure out how to make a costume that isn’t the grim reaper again lol. I’m usually always drawn Halloween costumes with hoods or skulls, which is also basically how I dress like every day. Halloween is when I get to appear in my most “normal” state I guess

Anyway, looking to add a pop of color or something distinctive to my costume this year somehow without breaking the bank. I’d really like to go as something horrifically gore filled, but I don’t have my sfx makeup this year and I don’t want to half-ass a cheap looking zombie. I love Halloween masks and I had several of them that I collected for years, Some custom painted or purchased from other artists, including an imported mask from Japan, but someone else threw them into a dumpster from what I know. (Bad living situation)

Something simple that could spice up my usual grim reaper would be excellent. Something to dial it up a few notches maybe?

Normally I do the whole skeleton-face-all-black shebang but I want something special for Halloween that I’ve never done before :)
