Halloween // Halloween 2023 planning

So I want to improve my decoration game this year! I am in a rented house so I can’t drill into the walls or anything. I have a large open plan house and I want to try and fill it more because for the most part, I just have things that hang. Does anyone have tips for how to create a spooky atmosphere in an open plan house? I’m happy to sell some of the hanging decorations.
