Halloween // Bloody Costume

Hello everyone, I just have a few questions about my costume and was hoping to get some help. I’m dressing up as Carrie and wanted to know how to achieve that fresh wet blood look on a polyester dress. I was hoping to add my “blood” to the dress and let it dry, but when looking at reviews for fake blood a common review is that it doesn’t look like blood when it dries. Is there a specific fake blood or even fabric paint that I could use?

My second question is, what would look better and last longer my skin, fake blood or body paint?

My final question is, is putting any form of fake blood in my hair worth it?

Any advice is welcomed and if there is a better place to post this please let me know.
