For example- going to the Home depot site I cannot search for the 12ft skeleton, ghoul or hover witch. The other regular decor pops up. I followed a link posted on reddit that took me to each item on the HD website. Each item says sold out, but obviously there are item pages for each one. So why can’t I search for that item.
Same thing happens on Target site. I collect the ghoulish garden figures and peruse the halloween section often. In the past they would show up as a hyde and eek item even when sold out. Search this year, nothing but topiaries show up. I had to google search ghoulish garden 2022 to get the 3 different links to each new item.
Now its happening at B&BW too! Usually the item remains and just says sold out/out of stock but the candle holder I was going to buy is just gone off the site completely.
I play the “waiting for restock, be up at 4am and be the fastest clicker” game with Halloween stuff every year. Never experienced this. Has anyone else noticed this? Is making items unsearchable from their own site somehow a reseller deterrent? Or do I just have cursed internet thats telling me to just sleep in and save money this year?
