Halloween // Help/ advice needed Chewbacca related

Hi, so i run a non-profit for disabled adults. Every year our town has a parade and our theme this year is star wars for our float. Because of my giant weird body (6'6 barefoot, 280 pounds) i was asked to be chewbacca. I really dont want it to be a crummy costume since it will be representing my clients and they will be walking alongside me and the float. That being saod, my boss also doesnt want to expense that kind of costume. I tried ebay but they only had standard size, not xl so... 1) if i went expensive on the mask how possible is it for someone who sucks at crafts and art to create a decent furry body costume? 2) any advice on how to do that without going bankrupt? 3) any advice on how to source chewbacca fur....googleing chewbacca fue is....not helpful.
