Halloween // Sleep No More in New York City

This past weekend I attended Sleep No More, an immersive theater production set up in a huge warehouse complex in New York City called The McKittrick Hotel. I highly recommend it if you're into spooky, atmospheric exploration and a creepy 1920s/noir/Prohibition-era vibe. The event is basically a play loosely based on Macbeth but instead of the audience sitting and watching, you walk through dozens of elaborate scenes while wearing a mask to separate you from the actors/dancers who freely roam the space and act out scenes. Sometimes, the actors even grab you and take you to secret rooms. This happened to my girlfriend. She was taken to a secret room to see a private performance by actors playing the witches from Macbeth. It's absolutely massive too. The whole thing is spread out over several floors and each floor contains a maze of rooms that are so elaborate, you can rummage through drawers and open doors to discover as much about the story as possible. It's the perfect event around Halloween as well. I can't recommend it enough. Here's more about it": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sleep_No_More_(2011_play)
