Halloween // Mister Kool II fog escaping from all sides

I have a Mister Kool II, which outputs a lot of fog ... but the fog is not only coming out of the front vent as intended but is also coming out from the ice chamber and a bit from the back of the unit.

I searched but couldn't find any info on what causes this or how to fix it.

Anyone have experience or advice for debugging and fixing this?
