Halloween // Stingy Jack Ideas

My kids learned about Stingy Jack last year. The story was that he attempts mischief, but can be kept away by jack-o-lantern. When he didn't do anything last year they were kind of disappointed. Now, they've been talking it up again this year. They know what the deal is with these things, so I know they are basically talking directly to us. They really enjoy these things. I googled around and really didn't seem like there were many ideas.

I'm just not sure what to exactly do? Does anyone ever do anything with Stingy Jack? Is there a traditional Irish way to handle this, or do I just make something up? I was thinking of getting some window markers and just writing something like "Your awesome jack-o-lantern stopped me this year! But I'll be back next year! Signed, Stingy Jack"
