Halloween // What would be good for realistic sturdy spider legs?

I'd like to make a mask with alot of long spindly spider legs much like an orb weaver but i'm not sure how to go about material, something mildy sturdy and kinda realistic? One resource i want to try uses feathers but the method seems a bit delicate and small for what i'm wanting, but definitely realistic. I'm sure most random materials will work as long as i can seal them right? wires wrapped in something maybe, ideas?
