Halloween // Help with fake blood!!

So this year my costume requires me to SPLATTER fake blood all over it. I just received my costume and wanted to splatter the blood on it ahead of time. Does anyone know if it will negatively affect the costume if i do it ahead of time? I’m concerned about the dye fading or discoloring. Any pointers would be appreciated!!!
