Hello fellow halloween fanatics.
Let me start off by saying that i should’ve joined this sub a long time ago. Love all the content I’m seeing on here.
I’ll just get right into it. My brother, my best friend, and myself are on our 4th big halloween party this year and i need some help thinking of some ideas for this one.
To give you an idea of what we’re looking for, let me explain on how years 1-3 went down.
Year 1: The Woods of Brandywine Halloween Party Our first year was a great turn out. I want to say we had around 60-75 people. We created, basically, a big scavenger hunt. If any of you have been to an escape room or if you’ve played a video game where there was a hidden secret, you’ll understand what i mean. We turned the house into a crime scene and hid cyphers, pictures, and diaries throughout the house with a reward to the first team to solved the murder at the end. Teams of 2 took about 2 hours going full on sherlock holmes whilst drinking and eating. Had a dance floor downstairs and was a great night.
Year 2: The Dark Room Our second year was our best rated year. We built a bar in our basement that spring so we had less space to work with for the main event, but a great space for the drinkers. This year we transformed the 2 car garage into a pitch black area where we hid 8 keys in strategic locations (behind small puzzles, hidden doors, and some just out in the open.) We built walls out of 2x4s and plywood while also putting on glow in the dark paint for the extra ambiance. We gave teams of 2 some glow sticks as their only source of light. Whoever found the most keys in a 3 minute time slot won. Winning team found 7 which was fairly impressive.
Year 3: Escape Anderson
Our third year we made an escape room in my brothers garage. We all used to live together but we all got our own places and threw this party at my brothers new place. We transformed the space into an escape room that told the story of a house haunted occupied by a little ghost girl was being used by a serial killer. The ghost left little notes and clues that showed the teams of 4 the way out (finding the garage door opener.)
So youve got an idea of what we’re looking for to make year 4 a hit. We have some ideas already set in-stone for what we wanna dofor this year but need help going above and beyond.
So far we know we’re making it pirate themed. Most likely calling it: The Pillage of the Mary Celeste (based on the true tale) We’re mainly looking for some small games to include. But we’re still in debate for our “main quest” so to speak. Any help is appreciated!
Im currently at work but i will be back sporadically to see what/if you got anything for me:)
