When I started to get into cardio I decided I'd start with walking and build myself up to the good old jog. This was a few months before Halloween a few years ago when I started this. It was all going okay and I was doing my routine around the neighborhood and local park tracks and then Halloween got close and people started putting up their decorations, the scent of fall in the air that I always associate with Halloween and the temperature was dropping. All great things to help motivate you to get out there and do your cardio but this is what really boosted it. I was jogging through the neighborhood one evening and the sun was setting, temperature cool and all then I jogged past this house with an amazing zombie scene in their front yard and it got me thinking about whether or not I was in good enough shape to out run a zombie hoard lol. I've got a great imagination thank goodness and it actually pushed me to run harder for longer periods. I started imagining having to boogie out of different situations I'd seen in scary movies and it got me in premo shape. So long story short ha ha ha, the Halloween holiday helped get me in great shape!
