Hello! I’m involved in an annual haunted trail in a small town in the Midwest, and we’re excited to be back this year. While I know we’ve made a ton of progress with the vaccines and everything, with so many things still up in the air, we’re afraid our manpower will be scarce, so I’m hoping to come up with something fun that won’t break the bank or require too many live actors.
My group usually does things from popular culture, i.e. Harry Potter, Stranger Things, etc. We had originally thought Cryptids for this year, but good costumes cost money that I don’t think we’ll have. The Wendigo mask I wanted alone was going to be about $200.
I had been batting around the idea of The Purge, but I am legitimately afraid of already high tensions and people taking it too far. (When we did Harry Potter four years ago, one of my Death Eaters was threatened with a patron who claimed to have a gun, so there’s no telling what would happen.)
Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
