Halloween // Scary movies for kids

So my 11 year old wants to start watching real scary movies not family friendly ones. What would be some good starters. Im a huge horror fan but I know what comes along with horror movies so I am trying to find mild horror movies. I was thinking beetleguess or scary stories to tell in the dark?!
