Halloween // What does Halloween smell like?

So I’ve been wracking my brain trying to figure out how to recreate a smell from my past. The smell is, in a word, Halloween. It’s kind of witchy, definitely more herbal than spicy or floral, and I can’t for the life of me figure out what it is. I encountered it in a little shop in Gardner Village near Salt Lake City. The shop was Halloween themed with a heavy emphasis on witchy pursuits, and the whole place smelled of it. Sage seems to tickle a similar corner of my brain but it’s not the whole scent. Anyway, I was hoping one of you fine Halloween enthusiasts might be able to point me in the right direction?
