Halloween // Legality of using a noose

Hey spooky boys and girls. I am unable to find a source detailing if displaying a noose is illegal. I wanted to leave one on my neck (of course locking the knot with a healthy dose of epoxy) but was told I could get in hot water for doing so. Is this true? I live in Nevada in the USA if that changes anything. Have a good day.
