Halloween // Dilemma about decorating outside

We love decorating the front of my house for Halloween but I have a bit of a dilemma this year. My mother and I both have a compromised immune system and have decided to not give out candy this year in order to protect ourselves. I told her that it probably wasn’t a good idea to decorate outside because it’s kind of seen as an invitation to trick or treat and we don’t want to give kids a false hope of getting candy and we also don’t want to encourage teens to prank us out of frustration. So what are your thoughts about this?
