Halloween // Alternative halloween ideas to keep the kids safe?

Me, I'll be making Pumpkin pinata with my daughter, getting some fireworks (a Halloween tradition in Ireland), and stinging up a clothesline with sweets hanging from it for any kids who are allowed to trick or treat this year. Any other ideas?
