Halloween // Is it racist to dress up as Aaliyah?

First of all... I want start of by stating I’m not going to do blackface! But I was just wondering if it’s considered disrespectful since I’m Colombian (I’m pretty fair) and I’ve only seen black girls dress up as her so I’m conflicted.. And when Kim k did it she got hella back lash so I just wanted to know if I’m in the clear or not..
